Clearly The Best TV Ever
February 6, 2007Written well before TV felt compelled to overwhelm viewer senses with gore, sexually explicit scenes, and politically corrected humor, the Beverly Hillbillies thrived on a plot, character development, and humor that was anything but PC.
First, readers will be amazed that the Beverly Hillbillies have 4 of the top 5 watched 1/2 hour programs ever aired on TV. That's proof enough for me that the show was the best comedy of it's time and one of the best of all time.
If you like deep characterization, great acting, side splitting dialog and slapstick action, get the Beverly Hillbillies and sit a spell.Was this review helpful to you? Sign in to rate -

One of the greatest shows ever
January 2, 2007Starting in black and white the show great. Easily making the transition to color. most shows of that time didnt do well with the transition, eg. The andy griffith show. and was great in black and white, but didnt make the transition, thats why the Hillbillies outrank all others.Was this review helpful to you? Sign in to rate
