Monday, March 10

-The sci-fi series "Stargate: Atlantis" ends its fourth season with Lt.-Col. Sheppard returning to Atlantis only to find it's been abandoned. He later realizes he's actually landed 40,000 years into the future and investigates what happened to the city so he can go back in time to save it. (The Movie Network, Movie Central)

-Also ending its run for the season is the spousal separation series "The Week the Women Went." In this finale, the men and women of Hardisty, Alta., reunite after seven days apart. Todd plans to surprise his girlfriend, Leah, by asking her to marry him on the spot, right after she gets off the bus. Here's hoping she gets to freshen up before walking down the aisle! (CBC)

-New to the Monday night schedule is yet another courtroom drama, "Canterbury's Law," starring Julianna Margulies of "ER" fame as a rebellious defence lawyer. (Global, Fox)

-We all know that most of the relationships created on the reality dating show "The Bachelor" wound up in splitsville. But what happened to the bachelors and bachelorettes after those relationships died? Find out on "The Bachelor: Where Are They Now?" (Citytv, ABC)

-"Dancing With the Stars 2" finalist Stacy Keibler guest stars on "October Road," playing Eddie's manipulative ex-girlfriend. (A-Channel, ABC)

-Vancouver actress Carly Pope ("Popular") drops in on the set of "Robson Arms" to play Nick's wife. (CTV)

-And NBA star Yao Ming, known as "The Great Wall," is profiled on "Basketball Diplomacy: From Mao to Yao." (National Geographic Channel)

Tuesday, March 11

-The steamy Canadian hockey drama "MVP" ends its first season with Evelyn trying to find her kidnapped daughter, Mandy breaking Damon out of rehab and rookie Trevor choosing between the Mustangs or the comforts of Loon Lake. (CBC)

-The fifth season of the reality series "Beauty and the Geek" kicks off with a twist - instead of the traditional beauty-geek blended teams, the show will pit all the women against the men in a series of challenges. The winner gets $250,000. (Citytv)

-Reality show battles continues with "American Idol," featuring performances by the top 12 finalists (CTV, Fox), and "The Biggest Loser," where two ousted contestants will be brought back. (E, NBC)

-Anne Murray is on "The Rick Mercer Report," hanging out with the jocular host during her tour in Florida. Mercer also visits the Canadian Olympic-bound equestrian team in the region. (CBC)

-"Revealed: Path to War" is a new documentary examining Canada's decision to enter Afghanistan. The film is the first in the twice-yearly "Revealed" documentary series that looks at major Canadian issues. It's produced and narrated by "Global National" anchor Kevin Newman. (Global)

-For even heavier content, click to "Most Evil," which sees forensic psychiatrist Michael Stone probing the personalities of murderers, serial killers and sociopaths "to determine just how evil they are." This episode focuses on famous psychopaths, including Ted Bundy. (Discovery Channel)

Wednesday, March 12

-The leggy contestants of "America's Next Top Model" get a taste of the not-so-glamorous side of the business as they pose around racks of beef for a photo shoot in New York City's meat-packing district. (Citytv, CW)

-Mild humiliation also strikes the women of "Rock of Love With Bret Michaels" as they have to write songs and sing them for the Poison frontman in the hopes of winning a date with him. (Citytv)

-Chef Bob Blumer of "Glutton for Punishment" heads to Dell Rapids, S.D., for the National Cornhusking Competition. His fellow competitors are much older than he is but can shuck corn at a rate of almost one ear per second - for 30 straight minutes. (Food Network)

-"Smart Cookies," debuting tonight, sees five female hosts talking about financial matters and offering tips on everything from online shopping to investing in stocks. The financial support group, known as "The Cookies," has been featured on Oprah Winfrey's "Debt Diet" series and in the New York Times. (W Network)

-On the dramedy "Men in Trees," Jack and Marin clash after deciding to move in together and Jane is determined to get her marriage announced in the New York Times. Patrick also develops a passion for flying. (Citytv, ABC)

-Lara Flynn Boyle guest stars on "Law & Order" as an ambitious reporter. (CTV, NBC)

-Bryan Adams fans will be in "Heaven" tonight when the legendary Canadian rock star appears on "The Hour with George Stroumboulopoulos." (CBC)

Thursday, March 13

-"Lost" is impressing critics this season with storylines focusing on the future lives of the castaways. Hopefully we'll see more of that tonight as Juliet informs Jin about his wife's pregnancy and Sayid and Desmond meet the captain of the freighter. (Fox, CTV)

-On "Project X," co-host Jennifer Gardy examines how elite athletes can perform dazzling feats with relative ease compared to most people. This episode also features a technology called Brain Fingerprinting, which, according to experts, could one day see future criminals "being ratted out by their own brain waves." (CBC)

-Wendy and Nico of "Lipstick Jungle" head to Scotland to meet with author J.K. Rowling. (A-Channel, NBC)

-"Murdoch Mysteries" sees the Canadian super sleuth probing the death of a wealthy rowing club member. (Citytv)

-Speaking of wealthy, tonight's "Cribs" takes us inside the stunning homes of country artist Aaron Pritchett near the mountains in Penticton, B.C., and Canadian opera singer Measha Brueggergosman in Toronto. (MTV)

-Over at "The Doc Zone," we find the compelling film "Tar Sands: The Selling of Alberta," about people looking to cash in on the oil boom in Fort McMurray, Alta. (CBC)

-For more documentary action, click the remote to "Sneaker Confidential," about the influence of the running shoe on popular culture. (CBC)

-A fire-breathing dragon is the hallucination du jour for the delusional title character of "Eli Stone." (CTV, ABC)

Friday, March 14

-The series "The Return of Jezebel James," debuting tonight, stars Parker Posey as a children's book editor who can't conceive a child and turns to her sister (Lauren Ambrose) for help. The show is the brainchild of Amy Sherman-Palladino, who created the beloved "Gilmore Girls." (Fox)

-Sean, one of the playboy plastic surgeons on the lascivious drama "Nip/Tuck," tries to recapture his youth - yet again - by having an affair with the young, conniving Eden. How many mid-life crises do these guys need to have? (CTV)

-"The Latest Buzz," premiering tonight, is a Canadian series featuring five 14-year-old students working for a struggling teen magazine. (Family Channel)

-The title teen protagonist in the 1978 horror film "Damien: Omen 2," meanwhile, has a much more sinister extracurricular activity: Fulfilling his role as the Antichrist. (AMC)

-"Damien: Omen 2" is, of course, the sequel to the iconic 1976 flick "The Omen," which won an Oscar for best original score and is also airing this evening. (AMC)

-Other choice films on the regular cable lineup include "State and Main," starring Alec Baldwin, William H. Macy and Sarah Jessica Parker in a tale of a Hollywood film shoot in a small Vermont town. (Star)

-More star power is on offer in "Three Kings," about American soldiers on a mission to steal gold from the Iraqi military at the end of the Gulf War. George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg, Ice Cube and Spike Jonze are among the big names in the cast. (APTN)

Saturday, March 15

-Jonah Hill, the hilarious, curly-headed co-star of "Superbad" and "Knocked Up," is the guest star on "Saturday Night Live." Janet Jackson is the musical performer. (Global, NBC)

- Canadians Matt Hunter and Jeremy MacPherson are back constructing odd and old inventions in the second season of "The Re-Inventors." In this new batch of episodes, they construct a solar crematorium and, in the premiere, something called a "da Vinci Gun." (History Television)

-The kiddies can settle in with the season 3 marathon of the hit animated series "Ben 10," about a boy who can turn into 10 different alien heroes with the help of a special watch. All 13 episodes of the new season are airing back-to-back today and are followed by the "Ben 10" animated movie "Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix." (Teletoon)

-"Chicks With Sticks," is about a female hockey team that takes on a local men's beer league in Red Deer, Alta. Margot Kidder and Jason Priestley are part of the cast. (A-Channel)

-"Catch Me If You Can" is a critically hailed biopic of Frank Abagnale Jr., a 1960s con artist who successfully passed himself off as a pilot, a lawyer and a doctor - all before his 19th birthday. Leonardo DiCaprio is the protagonist while Christopher Walken plays his father - a role that earned him an Oscar nomination. Tom Hanks stars as the FBI agent trying to track him down. (ABC)

Sunday, March 16

-A hidden gem to keep on your PVR radar is the drama "Breaking Bad," about a high school chemistry teacher who is terminally ill and makes and sells crystal meth to secure his family's financial future. The debut season wrapped up a week ago but begins airing again tonight for those who missed it the first time around. (AMC)

-Another new program that's sure to please is "John Adams," starring Paul Giamatti of "Sideways" fame as the second American president and leader of the American independence movement. Laura Linney co-stars as his wife. The seven-part HBO miniseries is based on David McCullough's Pulitzer Prize-winning biography. (The Movie Network, Movie Central)

-Tennis legend Andre Agassi and skateboarder Tony Hawk make surprise appearances on "Oprah's Big Give," which, perhaps not surprisingly, is getting big ratings. (CTV, ABC)

-Then on "Dexter," the homicidal title character stalks a murderous human trafficker. (CTV)

-Spring breakers who can't fly south can always torture themselves by watching others frolic on the beach in "Caught on Break." The special features clips of "the biggest spring break don'ts and video proof of what happens to those who don't abide by the rules," says a release. (MTV)

-"No End in Sight" on "CBC News: The Passionate Eye" is an Oscar-nominated documentary on the errors made by the U.S. before, during and after its invasion of Iraq. (CBC)
