I TOTALLY remember this show from when I was a kid! The other reviewers were correct in saying Rip Taylor was hilarious as the MC. I remember as well his song of, "you win the prize... you've saved the dayyyy.. a dollar ninety eighttttt".. my sister and I used to sing along and thought it was totally funny. I remember how happy the winners always seemed to be carrying their big ol bunch of carrots with the leaves/stalks all dangling over their arms. It was just good ol fashion tv. I couldn't believe this was even on here when I was searching because it's so old! My sis and I still sing that song from time to time because it used to crack us up so much! :-P

The winner would always be awarded a bunch of carrots instead of a bouquet of roses. There wasn't an age limit (at least not an upper one). I remember seeing some grandmother in a swimsuit. She beat out all the younger women.

They would always make up some fake profile when introducing the contestants. I was too young to understand what was going on or that it was a comedy. I kept wondering how some old lady could beat out a 20-something blonde girl.

I remember wathcing the show with my family. There wasn't one show that our sides weren't hurting from laughing so hard!. Rip Taylor was the perfect MC. Byth the way, Rip's serenade was a hoot!
