I couldn't stop laughing...
February 19, 2007
...at how ridiculously stupid the show was.
I'm neither a Democrat nor a Republican, but I tend to lean more towards the right, so it was not political bias that prevented me from liking the show. The writing for the show was pretty bad, but the delivery was downright awful.
For those who haven't seen it, the intent is a "Daily Show" for conservatives. Of course the real "Daily Show," while arguably presented from a left-wing perspective, skewers the news and those in the news, regardless of political affiliation. This show, however, just seemed mean-spirited. The jokes were juvenile and the "newscasters" had all ther personality of cardboard cutouts.
My "favorite" parts were the ACLU lawyer who--gasp--defended Constitutional rights! (which is the party of small government again?) and the "whacko" who could link any event to global warming in six steps or less. One of his whacked out theories... blaming global warming for a blizzard! What a whackjob!
Apparently the writers weren't watching the news over the last couple weeks when parts of upstate New York received 100 inches of lake-effect snow BECAUSE LAKE SUPERIOR HADN'T FROZEN.
To sum up this show, imagine watching the least funny version of SNL's weekend update (you'd better be picturing Jimmy Fallon and Tina Fey), then imagine that stretched out for half an hour and being presented with an unabashed political agenda. Honestly, I'll be surprised if this show runs more than three or four episodes. I wouldn't be shocked if it doesn't return next week.

Ticket to Laugh Track Town
March 11, 2007
Fox News's attempt to cash in on the parody news show craze, which only consists of two shows, both on Comedy Central, is a dismal failure. This show is so awful and unfunny, a laugh track was added DESPITE HAVING AN AUDIENCE. 1/2 Hour News Hour rips off the current co-hosted Weekend Report from SNL, which was better when it was SNL, and that's saying a lot. Also, rapid fire commentary is not funny if there is nothing funny behind it.
If you are a conservative desperate for a parody news show to call your own, you are unfortunately out of luck. Avoid this turkey at all costs.

finally a right leaning comedy program. Sorry, but if you didn't like it, guess what republicans go through everyday watching the entire liberal media, celebrities, etc. make fun of us. yeah, not funny. This was funny. They have some good ideas. Granted, I could make them better but no one asked me. Definately worth watching.

Stir the Pot

I'm sure you will see massive thumbs down from most media as the word conservative is used. Ignore the canned laughter just listen to the great spoofs. These are pilots so expect better and better things.
