The premise of this show is far-fetched and contains many holes and many unanswered questions, but...I absolutely love this show! I really have been impressed by the flash-backs to Amsterdam's past "experiences". I was especially touched by the artist with Alzheimer's who recognized him as a former lover...
I am sure the target demographic is the young adult, I am a retired, 61 year old former lawyer, and I hope this show is renewed and I hope it stays around for a multi-year run. So far, the writing and acting and pace of the show have been superb.

Bring it Back...... You did not even give this show a chance. You are too quick to cancel great shows. It was so interesting & different from the same old boring shows. At least take a survey to see what the viewers want.

After the Long, Winter of Discontent due to the writer's strike, my old favorites of the crime scene investigation and legal variety, grew stale and predictable and I have not, as yet renewed my interest in them I, have instead turned to more of the Discovery and National Geographic type of programing, with one or two exceptions. One, is wholeheartedly, New Amsterdam I was completely absorbed in the first episode I watched, and admit I plan my evenings around it 's allotted air time. I can honestly say I have not done that in years. I really admire John, and find him a refreshing and appealing new face and character. The unfolding of the characters involved just keep on improving each week. Not to mention that I find John to be a very attractive man and enjoy the romantic side of his character. I only hope that enough people out there have taken the time to watch this program and have been vocal in their support of it. If it is not renewed, I will spend one hour less watching network television and will have little or no interest in its replacement. I doubt that the freshness and rather innovative program concept will be duplicated in another program. I am not of the generation who usually enjoys these program, I am a 60 year old Director of Marketing, not retired, still call myself a consumer. I have alerted most of my friends to this program and know of no one who does not enjoy it as I do.

I fell in LOVE with the main character, which hasn't happened in awhile! Great story; mix of fantasy, mystery, and thriller....well told and worthwhile. I sure hope they keep them coming! Past flashbacks are the BEST! Huge fan of Supernatural, and Lost but somehow want this more!
