    We Barely Knew You

    January 20, 2007
For those of us lucky enough to have seen Firefly when it originally aired nothing I say will be a surprise. Firefly was a SciFi Western on the surface, but underneath it was the story of humanity which is truly timeless. It is the story of a rag tag family struggling to make it in a world and or worlds which have gone mad. Fans for firefly browncoats seem to resemble trekkies in their devotion to the show, writers, actors, and its creator Joss Whedon. Fan enthusiasm has since spawned a major motion picture Serenity which picks up where the show left off, and many other extensions like a role playing game, novels, and excellent podcasts like the signal . So if you are looking for something fun prepare to get hooked and join the browncoats. Shiny...

    Sniff

    April 16, 2007
Please come back Firefly...Please! There has not been (nor will there ever be) a show as wonderful as Firefly.

A true original that defied any category, this show and its wonderful band of characters is sorely missed.

A definite must for any sci-fi fan. Thank you Joss, for all of the love you put in the show. It’s evident.

Firefly Series - Where & why did you go?

    January 21, 2007
I found this series after it was cancelled. Can't understand why it was taken off the air. The show is witty, funny, smart, irreverant in a respectfull manner (not an oxymoron - you'll just have to watch it to see what I mean). The characters were well developed and well acted. The plot and storyline wereunique and timely. I'm still scratching my head as to why this show didn't make it. I hae since bought the DVD and have watched it several times and shared with friends. They have also become fans of the show.

    Why oh why?

    January 27, 2007
It is truely unfortunate that FOX junked a truly worthy show such as this. Only once in a couple of years does a show of high quality writing, character development, and acting comes togeather to make a full hour of a program a pleasure. Not to mention the fact that Inara is SMOKIN hot! When Rupert sacked real news for ratings I was disapionted. When he sacked this wonderful show to fund American Idol I was ill. Of course this is in hindsight for I just found this jewel of a program after I had rented Serenity. Given a chance, I believe this gem could have been as popular as 24 and the Simpsons. Who the hell watches FOX on friday?? For that matter, who watches FOX other than Sundays and Mondays when 24 is on. Don't get me wrong, I am aware that thier are millions who flock to the boob tube to watch the young wanabees make jackasses out of themselves. Thats the nature of television these days. Lawers and reality T.V., thank god for Sunday HBO. To bad they did not buy this series, it would still be on with probably even a sharper edge.

    Firefly

My parents, cousins Derek, Brandon, Chris, Uncle Bob and Aunt Ann all enjoy watching firefly because it was funny, very well done and it basically told the story of what life was going to be like in a few dozen years if we don't start taking care of our beautiful planet.
