This Show Is Like Cake, Right Linda W?
December 11, 2006I was really surprised to discover that this program is pretty good. Typically these types of shows (family dramas) are heavily promoted by networks, acclaimed by critics and then hit the tube with a giant thud! But this offering has me intrigued and has been able to sustain my interest. This show reminds me of "Thirty Something," which is not surprising being that Ken Olin and his wife (alums of Thirty Something) are part of Brothers & Sisters too. Keep up the good work.
Also, in response to Linda W, whose review is also posted. I am a Christian and religion DOES START WARS! Are you aware of the conflicts between Islamists and Christians, Islamists and Hindus, Jews and Islamists; etc. breaking out around the world these days? People are at war over religion...at least partially. Why don't you know that? You should try and tap into an original thought every now and then...read a little more...get out of the house and interact with people...entertain different points of view. I can't wait until the next episode
February 11, 2007The reason I love this show is because of the family connection they all have with each other. Let alone the family values. Finally someone had brought back a show that show's what being a family is all about. The good, the bad, secret's that siblings shares as they were growing up. THE BEST SHOW ON TV IN YEARS...
December 9, 2006I have written about this show on other web sites and I will continue to do so where ever I can. It has been YEARS since I have been glued to a T.V. show like Brothers and Sisters. It is so well written, the characters are so true and real that you can't help but care for them all. What is also a true testiment to this show and its actors is that they majority of them have come from very memorable past shows and characters that they are known for, yet because of their talents they have formed into new characters that we as the audience have let go of and are watching them become new ones, and that is an awesome job on their part. Never have I said this is The Flying Nun and her new show. I predict awards all over the place in 2007 for B&S in all areas, and I feel that they deserve them. It's about time, Brothers & Sisters is without a doubt the BEST show on ABC. I've been a fan of Sally Field & Tom Skerritt forever, and it's great to see them back on screen together again. Eventhough Tom's character died they still have the same chemestry they had when they filmed Steel Magnolia's. I love everything about this show, it is so true to life and it isn't affraid to deal with real life subjects. Keep up the great writing & acting & PLEASE don't substitute other shows in it's place or move it around. Leave it where it is, it's on a good night & in a perfect time slot. I have to tape it (I get up at 5AM for work) & watch it Monday night & that's what gets me through the day, knowing I can watch it and I look forward to that. I'm also looking forward to seeing this show & it's cast at the EMMY's. If the show or it's cast isn't nominated then there is something wrong with this industry.Was this review helpful to you? December 9, 2006Brothers and Sisters is absolutely my favorite show to watch on t.v. It is nice to finally have an appropriate family show that is realistic that each family member can relate too. Every Sunday night my entire family (mom, dad, 5 siblings, and two husbands) watch it together. And if we happen to miss it, we tivo it until the next time we meet so we can watch it together. I love it!!! Don't ever take it off air. It is about time people are watching quality values instead of trash. I think it needs to be advertised more, so more people can watch it. Ten thumbs UP!!
